Dr. Sheila Garland is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology and Oncology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Garland conducts psycho-oncology and behavioral sleep medicine research with an increasing emphasis on examining the mechanisms and effectiveness of  interventions to improve sleep and other symptoms in cancer survivors.

 Katherine-Ann Piedalue is a Doctor of Psychology student under the supervision of Dr. Sheila Garland. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from the University of Calgary. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as a Research Assistant in Psychosocial Oncology at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, where she co-authored several published papers evaluating integrative oncology approaches. Katherine-Ann’s dissertation focuses on examining the feasibility and acceptability of the iCANSleep App, which is designed to address insomnia in cancer survivors.

Rachel Lee is a Doctor of Psychology student under the supervision of Dr. Sheila Garland. She received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology (Health and Wellness) from Memorial University.  Her doctoral dissertation will investigate the efficacy and long-term durability of the fully developed iCANSleep app in addressing insomnia symptoms among cancer survivors.  In her future career, Rachel plans to focus on the areas of sleep and women's health.

Reanna George is the Research Coordinator and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology student in the Sleep, Health, and Wellness Lab. She received a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Memorial University. Reanna will be assisting in participant recruitment and communications of the iCANSleep App study.

Floris is bilingual a third-year BSc student majoring in Behavioural Neuroscience here at Memorial. Floris hopes to complete an honours project in the following year before continuing their education by applying to medical school or to a master's program in the Atlantic.

Steven is a forth-year BSc (hons) student majoring in Psychology at Memorial University. Stevens future goals involve either obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or becoming a Clinical Psychologist.
